Galena Plans
In the summer of 2006 BWBT started working with the SNRA, Blaine Co.
Rec. District, and the Galena Lodge Concessionaires on ideas for
improvements to the warm-season trails at Galena. After some initial
field work and meetings we decided it would be most useful to take a
comprehensive look at what our community and our local land managers
were interested in seeing happen with the trail system at Galena. BWBT
took the lead in this process by organizing stakeholder meetings and
hiring multi-use trail planning and design experts to help us all
formulate a master plan for Galena's summer trails. Here is an
overview of the resulting Galena Area Summer Trails Design Plan, and
the plan document itself:

Blaine County Rec & Travel Plan
The Blaine County Recreation and Travel Plan is online at blainecounty.org. Please read
the project description for an overview.

Click on a colored box in the legend and the Zone explanation will pop up. In addition, you can click on a Zone name in the sidebar, Table of Contents, or in the text and it will bring up the Zone or Matrix description.
If you wish to see the original maps and other information, please feel free to go to the County Courthouse during normal business hours to view them in the meeting room or hall.
